In a recent survey, it was found 8.71 million adult are still not online, a local charity Learning Links is tackling this issue by offering free using the internet sessions.
The free two hour sessions on Using the Internet are part of the UK Online national campaign for anyone aged 16+.
The UK Online campaign aims to provide more people with the confidence access to internet, to experiences the social benefits of going online.
Clare from Learning Links said ‘the sessions are not only for beginners, they are for anyone who wants to learn child safety, how to buy and sell and connect on the internet.’
Learning Links will be offering three different Using the Internet sessions every week, these are: Child Safety on the Internet, every Thursday morning 10am – Midday, Buy and Sell on the Internet, every Monday morning 10am – Midday and Connect with people on the internet, every Monday afternoon 1pm- 3pm.
‘The Child Safety session is a great course to help parents understand the dangers of the internet for child and keep children safe on the internet.’
