Learning Links is a Civil Society Enterprise and Registered Charity operating in the South East. We empower individuals and communities to raise their aspirations and realise potential through learning.

We work with individuals (14+) and communities by listening to you, finding out what you want to achieve and helping you to reach your goals.

We work with young people and adults to help individuals overcome barriers, gain education, training and/or get into work with our vast range of services and resources.

Most of the courses, projects and one-to-one sessions for young people and adults are FREE*. (*Availability of free services may be limited to individuals in particular circumstances due to funder restrictions.)

We understand that individual’s barriers are sometimes health related and as such Learning Links offer a Portsmouth and Gosport Health Trainers Service which is FREE to any residents in Portsmouth, we help people in or out of work with physical and emotional health issues.

We work with communities and are have run community research projects including the Community Researchers, Community Research Training and Community Development Workshops. The Community Researchers projects train people in the community to undertake community research and get the community involved in finding out what they need to improve their area. Right now in the context of the Big Society this is a key part of the current need.

Why is Learning Links different to other organisations and mainstream education?

  1. We work with small groups, and we are able to provide extra tutors and key workers for larger groups to give everyone the individual assistance they need.
  2. We offer ongoing one-to-one information, advice and guidance with the same Key Worker.
  3. We take a holistic approach, we continue to support individuals after their course or project by offering on-going support to reach their goals.
  4. We have a personal friendly approach rather than service driven, we listen to individuals.
  5. We have knowledgeable and highly trained tutors and always use current up to date information.
  6. We deal with a diverse range of people from different backgrounds.
  7. We do not force people to do things they don’t want to, i.e. apply for a job they don’t want to do.
  8. We go the extra mile to help individuals reach their own personal goals.
  9. We are able to offer a high quality service to you because we have a supportive system to meet your needs.
