Welcome to the Learning Links website.
"Working with people, communities and organisations to fulfil their potential through learning."
Learning Links is a Hampshire based regional social enterprise and educational charity that delivers a range of services to empower people and, in doing so, to promote greater social cohesion and active communities. We were founded in 1997 by entrepreneur Janet de Bathe, and have pioneered many innovative approaches to engaging with individuals who face the most barriers in society. In recent years we have been working to achieve sustainable solutions through our social enterprise initiatives.
Learning Links works with people of all ages, as well as voluntary and community organisations and small businesses. We engage people and organisations in their own communities and networks, and provide a number of tailored, flexible and accessible services to meet their needs, including:
Accredited and non-accredited training. Fun workshops designed to build confidence, provide social interaction and develop skills. Consultancy and support around, for example, quality approaches, social enterprise development and community development. Community Research assignments (research undertaken by trained local community members under supervision). Pre-work/self employment support, training and mentoring.
Learning Links encourages the development of social enterprise as an effective mechanism to provide tailored local solutions to identified needs, which benefit communities socially, environmentally and economically.

Spangle Jelly Enterprises was set up in 2007 as an initiative of Learning Links in response to needs identified by the local Third Sector (voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations). Spangle Jelly Jobs (www.spanglejelly.co.uk) is a recruitment advertising service for the Third Sector. At the request of local groups, Learning Links is leading an exiting capital re-development project to convert the historic Treadgolds buildings in Bishop Street, Portsmouth into a multi-purpose heritage and arts centre, creating opportunities and activities for local people and Hampshire residents, as well as providing a significant attraction for visitors to the City, close to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Learning Links always seeks to work collaboratively to achieve results and welcomes contact or partnership approaches from other like-minded organisations.
